Jose has 19 years of experience in paid media strategy development and execution. He has been at Aetna for nearly eight years leading the Paid Media Strategy team, overseeing strategy and execution across all paid channels, including digital and offline.

In this time, he built a team of dedicated paid media experts that support all product lines, and spearheaded multiple initiatives that advanced Aetna’s capabilities, bringing in solutions and approaches that fueled more effective and efficient paid media campaigns. Additionally, he successfully drove efforts to consolidate media operations across all Aetna lines of business.

Continuous improvement is a core principle that Jose has cemented into his team. His team is responsible for maximizing the impact of paid media through constant optimizations, while increasing sophistication by implementing data-driven strategies.

Prior to coming to Aetna, Jose worked for several media agencies, across various verticals, spanning healthcare, retail, entertainment and telecommunications industries.
